Miranda: “What time would we meet?”

Sally: “5:15am if you are willing.”

Miranda: “Yes that’s fine!”

Sally: “I also have a pop up changing tent so you can bring two outfits!”

Miranda: “Okay perfect!!”

I cannot express to you enough how amazing this photoshoot was. Miranda and Eddie are absolutely adorable and their love overflows in every interaction they have. They were troopers and got up early enough to be photo ready by sunrise!

The parking to the main spot I wanted was closed when we first got there (it opens at 6 am) so we went to a slightly different spot without a view of the mountains. This spot ended being absolutely MAGICAL with the way the sunrise hit the landscape. Miranda and Eddie’s darker and formal first outfit were the perfect contrast against the golden glow of sunrise.

Once it was almost 6am, we drove over to the spot with the Superstition Mountains in the background! Miranda and Eddie were so prepared and had different looks complete with different outfits, shoes, and accessories.

If you’re choosing to do a photoshoot in Arizona during the summer, honestly sunrise is the best time! When taking photos at sunset, you fight sluggishness of the day as well as heat that feels like an oven. Taking photos at sunrise allows you to beat the heat! On the day of this photoshoot, the temperature stayed below 80°F through the end of the photoshoot. Later that day, the temperature hit 105°F.

Capturing Miranda and Eddie’s love was such a joy. I hope I get to photograph them again in the future!
